Teenage Sexuality
*rant*

Just a rant against all of this bullshit about teens being encouraged to have sex. You want to know what encourages kids to have sex?, SEX! They don't need to be encouraged, and quite frankly, encouraging would probably be the best way to prevent it, (imagine if your mother encouraged you to give one night stands a try?)

At some point in a child's life they will notice that looking at the opposite sex causes tingly feelings and sex-specifc physiological reactions, (same sex for some people), and from that moment on, they will occationally think about sex until senility kicks in, (some more then others, of course and not just following the usual gender split).

Some, will have better experiences then others, and some will repeat the process more often then others, (by accident or design), but, quite frankly, it only takes one time to cause a pregnancy or for HIV to spread.

It would probably be best if at least one of them had a condom.

"Abstinence Education", when it comes down to it, is essentially telling kids to not do it, and quite frankly, when kids start to overcome their childhood vulnerability to kooties, they also start to realize that their parents aren't always right. This is also about the time when they learn, (through first-hand, one-on-themself experience), how much fun it can be. Telling them sex is bad is equivalent to telling them that pigs can fly. They aren't going to believe you, and honestly, it's just going to make them want to try.
(admit it, you've at least thought about putting a pig into a catapult to see what would happen).
